Daily-Dilly (July, 1961) PT2

Here's the follow-up post of gags from the Daily-Dilly Reminder Calendar from 1961, these being from the month of July section... check our last post for the June cartoons and more info about the book itself. FYI: because the July month seemed a little light on actual illustrated gags, and heavier on the text jokes, I picked a few of the better ones from the May section to pad it up.

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

Ah, the ol' desert island, such a fertile ground for rich comic content! And it's nice to see Irv Hagglund sort of phoning it in with nearly identical cartoons from one month to the next. Did he do a harem slave auction joke for every month?

Happy Fourth of July, Mr. Karswell!

yeah i was gonna say i love the desert island ones - mostly cause they're always on an island the size of a postage stamp.

they're awesome! thanks for posting them!
